"This cause of exploration and discovery is not an option we choose; it is a desire written in the human heart"

"A Renewed Spirit of Discovery: The President's Vision for U.S. Space Exploration"
On January 14, 2004, President Bush articulated a new vision for space exploration. The vision puts great emphasis on human exploration of the solar system and searching for other forms of life in the solar system and beyond. NASA responded to the President's Vision by realigning its research and development program to carry out the President's Vision.

NASA's scientists and engineers will be setting goals, taking stock of the challenges, and developing detailed plans to address them. In Moon, Mars, and ISS we will be working along side NASA, doing the same in the classroom. We will become familiar with the solar system, develop an appreciation of the technical issues that need to be resolved, and the technologies that might be used to do so. This project will also bring into perspective a lot of things we take for granted like air, water, comfortable temperatures, fertile soil, and much more.
